Evolution of `DOVE`

The Evolution of DOVE, a film created in Canada for Dove Self-Esteem. Which caused such a commotion when it was first released.
The film was created to demonstrate how images are altered to present what society knows as "beautiful," ideally encouraging girls and women to challenge this false representation and embrace their own, personal beauty.
A nondescript looking model without makeup being made up, styled and then photographically altered into a more "acceptable" definition of female beauty for an ad.
Magazines and Television will alter the features of a model (making her neck longer, defining her cheekbones more, brightening her eyes)? It is a fictional depiction of a frequently used technique in advertising and other forms of visual media.
On one hand, it is refreshing to see a company challenge (at least in an ad) the accepted notions of conventional beauty and the sometimes ridiculous extremes that women will go to, to achieve "beauty".

So, what is Dove's message? Be naturally beautiful without cosmetics and all these unnecessary products and procedures but if should you need a good moisturizer because you're concerned about your skin and the aging process ...... "DOVE"
Great message! When I first saw this campaine...I was totally in shock of the difference. This hit me as hardcore proof of what digitial reconfiguring can do!
